7.9 Months Later
Axel was waiting for Merlin and Yen-Sid in the Computer Lab, slightly impatient. “Haven’t they taken long enough to discover how to reverse this thing?” He asks himself, staring at Mariya’s drawing on the computer screen.
Merlin enters, and bows to Axel. “Yen Sid will arrive soon. Where is Mariya?”
“In town, Vanessa and Emma are throwing her a baby shower.” Axel says.
“Isn’t that dangerous?” Merlin asks.
Axel shrugs. “Her pregnancy is no secret anymore, and Dante will call if he senses trouble, so I’m not too worried.” Axel says. “Actually scratch that, I’m worried they’ll drive Dante insane with all their baby talk.”
Merlin laughs. “The twins will have no problem growing up in a loving environment.”
“Not at all.” Axel says, smiling.
Meanwhile, I opened the last gift, to find a pair of blankets, Tanner or Dannielle embroidered on the bottom corner. I looked at the card. “Congratulations, wish I could be there, Love Sally.” I read, a smile on my face.
“Only Sally has a stitch better than mine.” Serene says, putting the blankets on a table with the other opened gifts.
Emma looks at all the gifts. “How are we getting all these to the castle, by the way?”
“Well, I was going to make Dante carry them, but I thought it be better just to have a Gummi Ship float over and take the gifts back to the castle.” I said. “That way they can be taken right outside the nursery window.”
“Brilliant.” Emma says.
“It was Serene’s idea.” I said. “So, that’s it.”
“Congratulations, Mariya.” Emma says.
“Tell your husband I said hello.” I said, standing.
Emma smiled. “Will do.” She says, helping Serene load the gifts into a gummi ship, which she sets the autopilot to go outside the Nursery’s window. She then gets into her gummi ship and heads to Maelstrom Peak.
"Should I call for a Gummi Ship to?" Dante asked.
"No, I want to walk." I said.
"What if we get ambushed?" Dante asked.
I rolled my eyes, and exited into the Marketplace, Dante and Serene following me. Suddenly, Dante put me behind him, drawing his guns and firing a the roofs. Serene moved closer to me as the Fallen Angels appeared on the roofs, and Nobodies blocked the way to the Borough and the entrances to the buildings.
“Hand the queen over, and you’ll live.” One of the girls said.
“Mariya, open a portal and get to the Castle.” Dante said.
I opened a light portal and Serene went through. I turned.
“Nobodies, stop her!” A man shouted.
I went through, shutting the portal once I was through. I looked at Serene, then around me. “What? I didn’t open it here.” I said, looking around at the Second District of Traverse Town.
“Maybe you did it in panic.” Serene said.
“Or maybe, it was on purpose.” Master K said, stepping out from the shadows.
Serene stepped in front of me. “Mariya, get to the Gummi Bay.” She says.
“On the contrary, neither of you are going to go anywhere.” He says, snapping his fingers. Several Samurai and Berserkers appeared, and surrounded them. “You are coming with me.”
Next thing I remembered, I was waking up in the Twilight Town Mansion. “Serene?” I asked, opening the door.
“Queen Mariya, are you alright?” Serene asked, coming up the stairs.
“Fine, as far as I can tell.” I said. “Let’s get out of here.”
“We can’t. They locked us in the virtual Twilight Town, but they modified the program, the wall leading to town has no hole, and the corridors to the computer lab are gone.” She said.
I took a deep breath. “Let’s not panic.” I said, searching for my cell phone. It was gone, as was my Royal Symbol.
“Mine are gone as well.” Serene said.
“We’ll think of something.” I said, going back into the white room to sit on the bed.
Dante ran into the Castle and found Axel talking to Merlin. “Did Mariya make it back okay?” He asked.
“What?” Axel asked, confused.
“Tron didn’t get an alert? Almost all of the Fallen Angels ambushed us in the Marketplace.” Dante panted. “I made Serene and Mariya come back here through a portal.”
Axel’s eyes widened. “Tron?”
“Sorry Axel, I have been noticing problems with the server.” Tron said.
“Let’s not panic, she could be in the Garden, calming herself.” Axel said. “Excuse me Merlin.”
They both ran to the garden, nearly running into Mario, who followed them. “What’s the rush?”
“We’re looking for Mariya.” Axel said before explaining as fast as he could. They entered the garden, and Axel tensed when he didn’t spot Mariya or Serene. They then all ran back to the Computer Lab and Axel started to search for Mariya’s and Serene’s symbols and cells.
Axel tried to keep his breaths even. “Traverse Town, let’s go.”
“Axel you’re staying.” Dante said. “You’re losing it.”
“But-”
“No buts, let’s go, Mario.” Dante said.
Mario nodded and opened a dark portal to Traverse Town. Once threw, Mario rushed to where the symbols location was. He spotted the items on the ground and pocketed them. “Let’s quick search town, you take the first and second districts, I’ll take the Third and Merlin’s old place.”
Dante nodded, and went back to the first district and searched for Mariya, seeing no sign of her or any of the Fallen Angels. Once he searched every inch, he went back to the spot where they split up. He sighed, and waited for Mario.
“Nothing.” Mario said, sighing.
“Same.” Dante said. “This isn’t good.”
“No, we can’t know where they took her.” Mario said. “Or Serene.”
Dante sighed. “Not even their heart signatures?” Dante asked.
“I checked, both of the signatures just end…like they were taken from a dark portal, but there is no telling where that portal went.” Mario said, sighing.
“Let’s go then. I wanna make sure Axel hasn’t lost it before we go searching.” Dante said.
Mario nodded. “You had no idea that the portal went here.” He said, opening a portal.
“But I still should have gone after them.” Dante said, before stepping threw.
Dante went into Axel’s office and saw Axel leaning back in the chair, his eyes closed. “Well?” He asked.
“Nothing, they must have had someone waiting for her.” Mario said.
“But how they knew she’d end up there, who knows.” Dante said. “I wanted to make sure you were okay before we started looking.”
“Yes and No.” Axel said. “You might have to lock me up in the prison.”
“If it comes to that, we will.” Dante said. “But for now, we have to search for Mariya, and first, we search The World That Never Was.”
“Go, I have to stay…I need to calm down. I might do something I’ll regret.” Axel said. “I’m going for a walk.”
“We’ll be back when we find her, text us if you decide to join us.” Mario said.
The Castle That Never Was was more silent then it usually was. Not even a Nobody walking the halls. “This is weird.” Mario said. “It’s like they just abandoned it.”
“They knew we knew where they were, so they took Mariya elsewhere.” Dante said. “But where…it has to hold all of them, but has to have a good defense…”
“That still leaves a lot of places.” Mario says.

pmwww | | Re: The End (17th Aug 11 at 7:49pm UTC) | | I woke, nearly forgetting where I was. She stood, and walked down to the dining hall where I saw Serene talking to one of the Angels. “Morning.” I said.
“I was just discussing your diet with their chef here.” Serene said. “To make sure the Twins get what they need.”
The woman left the room and I looked to Serene. “Seems they know everything.” I said.
Serene nodded. “There’s no way out of here outside the mansion.”
“I doubt we can get down to the computer…” I said, before wincing.
“Are you alright?” Serene asked.
“Twins decided to kick at the same time.” I said. “I’m fine.”
“Want me to make you something to eat?” Serene asked.
“Yes please.” I said, sitting.
A couple Fallen Angels walked in, and one went back to help Serene make some food.
After I finished eating I stood, but suddenly I felt dizzy. I grabbed a chair for support, and felt all eyes on me.
“Mariya?” Serene’s voice asked. It sounded so far away, even thought she was in front of me.
I blacked out then.
I woke in the Spirit Realm. I touched my stomach. It was flat. I looked down in panic.
“Do not panic, young Queen, your twins will be quite fine.” A soft voice said.
I looked up to see the Spirit of Light, Ayla, standing before me. She was smiling. “Why am I here?” I asked.
“I called your spirit here to offer my help, and to speak to you about your destiny.” She said.
“My Destiny?” I asked. “And help me how?”
“It is the Spirit of Light’s duty to watch over all Princesses of Heart, along with keeping a close eye on Kesi, the Spirit of Darkness.” Ayla said. “When you die you will take my place.”
“What has Kesi done?” I asked.
“Did your mother ever tell you when Maleficent controlled the heartless and how powerful they were?" Ayla said.
“Yes, that was Kesi’s doing?” I asked, surprised.
“Yes, she locked me away. The other Spirits freed me and we suppressed Kesi, and now we all watch her.” She said. "She made the Heartless flourish."
“So when I die, I won’t be with Axel again?” I said.
“No, all people come here when they die, except the wicked.” She said.
“What will happen to you once I take your place?” I asked.
“I shall either continue on here or go onto the next destined Princess of Heart. As is the process.” Ayla said.
“You were a Princess of Heart?” I asked, surprised.
“I was Cinderella’s mother.” She said.
“She’s a wonderful woman.” I said.
“Thank you.” Ayla said. “As for how I can help you, Axel at this moment is asleep, you can enter his dreams and tell him where you and Serene are.”
“Let’s go.” I said.
She held out her hand and I took it.
Next thing I knew I was in the Castle Garden, I found Axel on a bench, looking up. I noticed things were more dreamlike. “Axel.” I said softly.
His head shot up. “Mariya….am I dreaming?”
“Yes.” I said. “You’re losing control, I can feel it.”
“I can’t help it. They have you and it’s my fault.” Axel said.
“No it’s not.” I said, sitting next to him. “Listen Axel, they have me and Serene locked up in the Alternate Twilight Town. They modified the program you have to have Tron re-modify it so you can get there from here.”
“I’m coming for you.” Axel said.
“Only come if you’re in control.” I said
“I will be.” He said, before kissing me.
I woke in the white room to Serene checking my vitals. She looked to me. “You alright?”
I nodded. “Where are they?” I asked.
“Around the mansion. I told them I’d let them know when you woke.” She said. “What happened?”
“They’re coming for us.” I said before explaining.
Serene seemed relieved. “I’d better tell them you’re alright.”
She left, and I sighed. I stood and made my way to the library, looking for a book to read. Master K walked in. “Can I help you, your majesty?” He asked.
“No, unless you want to tell me how I can leave here.” I said, taking a book off the shelf.
Master K chuckled. “You know you’re not leaving here alive, Queen. Once you give birth to your twins, you’ll have a swift death.”
“Why do you want my twins so badly?” I asked.
“They will replace Lucas and Lexi.” Master K said. “It’s quite ironic, isn't it? You’ve done so much to keep them secret, and they will grow to kill more royals and innocents, which they would have been taught to protect.”
Axel woke, and ran down to Tron. “Tron get Mario and Dante back here ASAP, and bring up the virtual Twilight Town program.” He said, trying to keep calm.
“Will do, Axel.” Tron said.
Mario pulled out his phone as it rang. He opened it and saw a message from Tron. “Axel want’s us back.” He said. “He’s got a lead on Mariya.”
Dante nodded. “You know, if there’s some weird reason behind it, I won’t be surprised.”
“Me either.” Mario said, and opened a dark portal and walked through.
“What’s up?” Dante asked, walking twords the computer screen.
“I’m modifying the Twilight Town virtual program so we can get in there from here.” Axel said. “Tron’s giving me help to speed things up.”
“How do you know that she’s there?” Mario asked.
“When I was sleeping, she somehow entered my dreams and told me.” Axel said.
“I knew there’d be something weird.” Dante said.
“All done Axel, let me know when you’re ready.” Tron said.
Axel turned around, facing Mario and Dante. “I’m gonna need your help.”
“We’re right behind you.” Mario said. “We’re ready, Tron.” | |

pmwww | | Re: The End (17th Aug 11 at 7:51pm UTC) | | I sat in the white room, staring out the window looking out twords the woods. I touched my stomach. “Don’t worry; your father will be here soon.” I whispered.
Just then, something digitized fell into the woods. I gasped. A knock came to the door. “Come in.”
Serene and an Angel came in. “How are you feeling?” Serene asked.
“I could use a walk.” I said. “I need to stretch my legs.”
Serene nodded, and helped me up.
The Angel followed us to the woods, but once there Dante jumped out and tied the Angel to a tree, and gagged her. “One down.”
Axel came and held me, kissing me fiercely. I laughed. “You have no idea how happy I am to see you.”
“And you have no idea how happy I am that you are safe.” He said. “All of you.”
“How many are in the mansion?” Mario asked.
“Almost all of them. Master K is here.” I said. “I’ll explain everything once we’re out of here.”
“Tron, get us out of here.” Axel said.
I sighed once I explained everything. “But I don’t understand how you ended up in Traverse Town.”
“I don’t either.” I said. “All I know is that I’m happy to be out of there.”
“We’ll take care of the Angels another time.” Axel said.
I nodded. “I’m going to lie down, I feel incredibly winded.”
“I’ll come with you.” Axel said.
We walked to our room, hand in hand. Axel eventually picked me up and carried me to our room, placing me on the bed once we got there. He kissed me. “So is there any way I can Thank Ayla?”
“I don’t know, I’ve only been to the Spirit world when I’ve been un-conscious.” I said.
Axel sighed. “Well, if you ever visit again, thank Ayla for me.” He said, running a hand through my hair.
“I will.” I said. I shut my eyes then, and fell asleep.
Sora sat beside me on a bench beneath a Sakura tree. I gasped and hugged him. “Dad….I miss you so much.” I said.
He hugged me back. “I know you do. I watch over you and your mother. You’ve been doing a good job taking care of Radiant Garden.” He said. “I’m proud of you.”
“Thanks.” I said. “So you know about my close call?”
“Yea. I’ve seen what would have happened if they succeeded….it wasn’t pretty.” Sora said, sighing. “There are two futures from here, one where the universe prospers…and the other where the Fallen Angels run the universe.”
“How can I avoid that future?” I asked.
“Don’t leave the castle, at least not til long after the twins are born. After the twins are born, have Yen Sid put barriers on the twin’s nursery. Have only knights or people you trust to guard their room.” Sora said.
“For their whole life?” I asked.
“No, if you raid The Castle That Never Was then, you’ll capture them all.” Sora said.
“How long is ‘long’?” I asked.
“Two months.” Dad said.
I sighed. “Would you thank Ayla for me and Axel?” I asked. “If it weren’t for her, Axel may have never found me.”
“I will.” Sora said. “Tell your mother I love her.”
“Will do.” I said.
I talked with my father until I woke up, a bit hesitant to leave. But I said my goodbyes, and told myself to wake.
Axel looked at me with concern. “You were crying in your dream.” He said.
“I went to the Spirit World, and saw Dad.” I said. “We talked all night.”
Axel kissed my forehead. I told him everything and sighed. “I hate this.” I said.
“I know. I don’t like it either, but we need to protect them.” Axel said. “I’ll go let Mario know.”
Over the next few days, we made the preparations for the twin’s protection. During lunch one day I screamed in pain. Axel dropped the plates of food and ran over. “Mariya, what is it?”
I looked at him. “My water just broke.”
Next thing I knew Axel was in his demon form, running me down to the infirmary. “Serene her water broke!” He yelled as he came in.
Serene nodded and opened a door. Axel laid me on the cot, and then transformed back to his regular form. He then proceeded to call Mario and Dante. Half hour later I saw them peer in through the window.
After a few hours, Tanner, then Dannielle was born. I smiled at them before Serene handed me Tanner and Danni. Axel motioned to the window, and Mario and Dante walked in. Mario smiled. “Can I hold one of them?”
I nodded, handing him Danni. “Mario, Dante, meet your new charges. I expect nothing less of protecting them with your life.”
Mario smiled. “That won’t be a problem, Mariya.”
“No problem whatsoever.” Dante said.
A week later, I set Danni and Tanner in their cribs. Axel brought out the blankets from Sally and put them over the twins. He kissed me. “Danni’s gonna have trouble with her demon powers…if she gets them.” He said.
“I know…it’s cause she’s the Princess of Heart now.” I said. “But you and Dante will teach her well, and can help her.”
As Sora predicted, after two months, they raided The Castle That Never Was and captured all of the Fallen Angels. Master K was locked up on the top floor of Castle Oblivion. The other Angels were divided amongst the other floors, including the basements.
For the rest of time, peace reined in the universe.
