Marik looked a around at the trees and the sand. the sound of the waves crashing over the sand surprised him, he had never seen the ocean let alone been away from the world that never was. he sat down and watched the water move.

Kairi sighed. Sora had suggested she take a small vacation, so she went to the Destiny Islands. She put on her one piece bathing suit and headed down to the beach.

Marik yawned and heard footsteps in the sand, looking around he saw Kairi walking. He jumped up and ran to greet her "Hey Namine wha......"he trailed off when he realized it wasn't her

"Namine?" Kairi asked, confused. "No one but Sora has ever called me that..."

Marik looked at her in a daze "Sora..... Oh Roxas's true self" he looked at the clouds "why do you look like Namine?"

"Because I'm Namine's true self." Kairi answered. "Your a nobody, aren't you?" She asked.

Marik closes his eyes"yes" he nods "I'm Marik"

Kairi smiles. "Kairi." she said, introducing herself. "Are you apart of the Organization?"

Marik shakes his head "I dont believe in their ideals"he looks around "what is this place?"

"Destiny Island." Kairi answeres. "Sora, Riku and I grew up here. I miss this place at times.

Marik points at the ocean"and that?"

"That's the ocean." Kairi said, trying not to laugh.

Marik nodded" this is my first time away from that world....the place where nobodies are from" picked up a handful of sand and watch it fall through his fingers

Kairi wasn't sure what to say, but she then notes the age he appears. "I have a daughter a few years younger then you..."

Marik nodded "really?"

Kairi nodded. "She's turning 17 soon..." She trailed of, remebering Mariya's last birthday. It wasn't so happy, some Nobodies had attacked.

Marik smiles "thats nice" he tried to remember how old he was

"You should come." Kairi said, smiling. She sat on the sand and looked out to the ocean.

Marik sat down next to her "go, go where?"

"To Mariya's party." Kair said. "I'll convince Sora to leave you be should he figure you out. But it's up to you."

Marik nods"ok. i'll go, sounds like fun"

Kairi smiles. "so, what brings you to Destiny?" Kairi asks.

"I dont know I left my world and this is where i showed up"Marik looked at the sand "I like this place it's peaceful"

"Always has been." Kairi said. She closed her eyes and just listened to the waves.

"you live here?"Marik looks at her

"I used to as a kid. I moved to Radiant garden though...to rule as Queen." Kairi says, her eyes still shut. She lies back on the warm sand.

"is Radient Garden on this world?" Marik looks at the stars and yawns

"No...but it's only a gummi ship ride away. Sora wanted me to have a small vacation." Kairi says, finally opening her eyes.

Marik nods "thats nice but whats a gummi ship?"

Kairi laughs. "I'll show you tomorrow." Kairi says, smiling.

Mariks smiles "ok" curious to learn about a gummi ship "he looks around and stands up walking to the worn out club house built on the tree

"Be carefull, some of those boards don't hold up to human weight." Kairi warns.

Marik nods and peers inside "whoa it's old" he hops down and explores the rest of the beach stoppong at the small bridge leading to the smaller island crossing it slowly he hops up and sits on the bent tree looking at the paupu friuts "what are these?" he yells to Kairi

Kairi comes up to the island. "Those are paupu fruits." Kairi says smiling, rembering Sora gave her one when he proposed. "Theres an old legend for those."

Marik looks at her"mind telling me it miss Kairi?"

"Mrs. Kairi." She corrected. She sat on the bent tree and took one. "Well, my memory might be a bit foggy on it, but it's said that if you share a paupu with someone, your destinies become intertwined. Sora and I shared one when I agreed to marry him."

Marik nodded "sounds nice i might try that one day" he picked up a worn wooden sword "whose is this?" he held it up

Kairi laughed. "She took the sword and looked at the hilt. "Riku." She said, reading the name. "Must have dropping it here years ago..."

Marik loses himself in his memories "Riku....I met him once years ago, he was 18. he was in my world looking for something he met Namine and Roxas too"

Kairi only blinks. "That was over twenty years ago..." Kairi mumbles.

Marik looks confused "20 years....oh right I'm a nobody we dont age because we dont really exsist"

"Oh right." Kairi says, keeping her voice kind. She sort of wished she didn't age.

Marik hops up and nods "ok Mrs.Kairi from this day on your my new friend, ok?" he holds out his hand

Kairi nods and shakes Marik's hand. She then gets a bad feeling. "Something wrong back home..." She murmurs. She pulls out a phone and dials a number. "Sora? Is there something wrong? What?! How did he-. Oh right....should I come home? Okay.....just call if you need me there."

She hangs up then and sighs.

Marik smiles "something wrong Mrs.Kairi?"

"Just a minor family issue." Kairi says, smiling. "Sora handled it."

Marik nods "oh ok"he sits down and swings the sword around "for something so old it sure is pretty strong"

Kairi laughed. "Well it had to stand up to Riku's and Sora's contant fighting."

Marik nodded" so whats a gummi thingy look like?"

"Well it really depends." Kairi says, thinking. "You can create all sorts of desings for a gummi ship. I think Mariya's are pretty much the simplist one around."

Marik looks at the stars "and you use them to go from planet to planet right?"

Kairi nods. "I could give you one when you come to Radiant Garden." She says, smiling.

Marik smiles "no offense but i think i might stick to my means of travel,I'd probably just crash my first time flying" Marik laughs "and it took me a long time to get used to using the darkness to travel"

"As you wish." Kairi says, smiling.

Marik nods"so whats your world like?"

"You'll have to see for yourself. Not many people can decribe the wonders of Radiant Garden." Kairi says, watching the sun begin to set.

Marik puts the sword down"i cant wait" he lays back on the ground and looks at the stars

Kairi nods. She shivers as the wind blows. "Looks like it's time to head back inside.." She mumbles.

Marik nods hearing Kairi "see you tomorrow Mrs.Kairi"

"I have a spare room if you'd like." Kairi says, smiling again.

"that'd be nice, thank you"Marik smiles

Kairi nods and stands up. She then goes over to the little deck area and puts her hand on something. Something clicks and a hidden door opens. "After you." She says, smiling.

Marik walks in carefully"ok"

Kairi follows after him and turns on a light, revealing a warm living room. "This is a secret hideaway for the Knights and us when we visit. Theres stairs to the right leading to the rooms." Kairi says, shutting the door. "Take anyone you'd like."

Marik nods and walks up the steps. he walks down the hall and picks a room with a veiw of the ocean.

Kairi however stay downstairs and lies on the couch to read a book.

Marik crawled into the bed and fell asleep

Kairi fell asleep on the couch, the book on her belly.

Marik woke up when the sun rose and walked down stairs seeing Kairi. he walked outside quietly trying not to wake her

Kairi remains asleep, unfased by Marik leaving.

Marik walks down to the beach and sits down

Kairi son wakes up and finds Marik gone. She gets changed before she goes down to the beach herself. "It's realy something, isn't it?" She asks.

Marik looks up a at Kairi "yea it's beautiful"

Kairi sits and looks at the waves. "Nothing like it."

Marik started to write his name in the sand"so how far is your world from this one?"

"Not far." Kairi says, looking up at the sky. "Just a gummi ship ride away."

Marik nods"i still have no idea why you guys need ships"

"Well not all of us can open portals anytime we wish. Besides, Riku says you need to belong to the darkness to do so, and we believe him since he's been down that road." Kairi explains.

Marik laughs "hey I can do that and I'm not evil"

"Neither was Riku." Kairi says, looking at him. "I only wish Sora could see Riana and Mario as good people."

Marik nods"sounds reasonable"

Kairi smiles a bit. "Plus, if you need sleep you can just put on autopilot." Kairi says with a laugh.

Marik laughs"sounds good to me. I love to sleep"

"Who deosn't?" Kairi asks, laughing again.

Marik thinks a minute"I have no clue"

Kairi laughs again, and sighs, looking out to the sea.

Marik watches as the waves crash over the sand"so whats your world look like?"

"You already asked that." Kairi said, almost laughing.

Marik nods"I know i just wanted to know again"

"I told you you'd have to see it for yourself." Kairi says. "I plan on going home later today anyway."

Marik sighs "ok"he gets up and walks to the water watching it wash over his feet

Kairi's phone rings then, making her jump. She picked it up and saw it was from Sora. "Sora, what is it?" Kairi asks. "What happened? Okay, I'm coming home." Kari says before shutting the phone.

"A family emergency came up, I have to go." Kairi said before a gummi ship flies over the ocean. Kairi jumps in it as soon as the hatch opens, and starts setting a short course to Hallow Bastion.

Marik nods his ok and watches the waves rise and crash"i'll meet you there later i guess"

Kairi nods and the hatch shuts, and the gummi ship zips off.

Marik sits on the beach for two more hours after Kairi leaves "I guess i should go find Mrs. Kairi now"he focuses on Kairi heart signature and disappears in a cloud of black smoke
