A dark portal opens inside the Castle That Never Was, and out steps Mario and Xildus.

Mario looks to Xildus as the door closes. "Okay, this is where the Fallen Angels should be. We need to find Lucas and Lexi. The sooner I remove them as a part of this issue, the sooner Mariya remains safe, and heck, maybe we'll even prevent a war."

Xildus nods as he looks around. For many years, this had been his prison. For less years, his home. Funny, how things turn out that way.

Suddenly the two can hear the click of guns. "Who are you and how did you find us?" A mans voice asks. "You are surrounded."

Mario is silent before exchanging a glance with Xildus. Finally, he speaks. "A messenger, sent to prevent a catastrophe. As for how I found you, let us say that a friend from a faraway place told me."

"Tell your message." The mans voice says.

"I would like to make sure that the recipients are present," Mario states. "For it is not the Fallen Angels as a whole that it is intended for, but for Lucas and Lexi."

The man jumps down, and five others approach. "Hands on your heads." The man says.

Mario is silent before he puts his hands on his head.

Xildus cooperates as well, raising his wings and placing his feather tips on his head.

One gunman goes over to them and pats them down adn takes the pens and pappers out from Xildus' cloak and inspects them, before putting them back. "No weapons, probably a weilder." He says.

"Follow." The man orders.

"Calling the Master." A girl says, taking out a phone.

Mario nods as he follows, Xildus a step behind him.

The others follow, keeping the guns to their backs. The enter the circle room, and all the Angels are sitting in chairs, lining a round table. Mariya's would-be assassin was sitting in between Lucas and Lexi.

"What's this?" An older man asks.

"Messengers, apparently." The man says.

Mario is silent, his eyes locking upon the man sitting inbetween the two of them. Finally, he pulls himself together to speak. "I bear a message for Lucas and Lexi, a warning."

"Oh?" Lucas asks. "Your in no position to warn us, kid."

"Indeed. What makes you think we'll let you out of here alive?" Lexi asks, smirking.

"Because I can see the future," Mario states. He gets a glance from Xildus, but he continues. "That is to say, I can tell how events will play out. Right now, your little escape has put the entire castle on high alert. Before you go and celebrate your new infamy, know that they will be looking for you and keeping a closer eye out on any crimes that can be tied to you two. All I ask is that you do nothing that will give them reason or desire to execute you."

Lexi laughs, but the Master silences her. "Don't worry, young knight, they won't."

"But Master K-" Lucas says, going to object.

"Enough, Lucas." The Master says. "Take them away."

The gunmen nod, and begin to escort the two to the dungeon.

Mario is silent. "So, you two are going to shoot the messengers, then?" he questions.

"Perhaps." One says, opening a cell. "We'll see what the Master decides."

"Get in." Another says.

Mario is silent before stepping in. He sits down on the cot and sighs. "Okay, not how I expected it to go, but I think it's going well enough. We're not dead yet."

Xildus is silent, staring at the far wall.

Mario sits up. "Something wrong?" Getting no response, he glances over at the far wall and sees a pile of chains and locks, a food and water dish...and a single Chocobo feather. "...Oh...this was your old cell..."

Xildus is silent, walking over to a corner and sitting in it. He remains there in silence, either suffering from remembering his time here or something, maybe someone, else.

Mario is silent, deciding to leave Xildus alone as he rests on the cot.

A chill in the air passes, and near the chains, a figure appears, taking the form of Xamira. "Hey Xildus, I brought you a treat today." She says before she fades.

Xildus turns a vivid palish color, backing against the wall in shock as he lets out a squak.

Mario sits up as well, having seen it as well. "What in the- Was that Xamira?!"

Xildus is in too big a shock, his "heart" heavy with pain. Whatever that was, it wasn't just in his head, but it still hurt him badly, to be reminded of her even more.

Nothing else happens. What had caused that? There was no way Xamira would be able to come back as a ghost.

Xildus is silent, trying to figure out what had caused the apparition. He soon calms down, but he is still sick with sorrow.

Mario is silent before he glances around, lying back down on the cot afterwards.

Meanwhile, up in the circle room.

"Kill them." The Master says to one of the men. The man nods. "Then you may proceed with your missions, Lucas, Lexi."

They both nod, smiling. "He's a knight, you know." Lexi says.

"So? We've killed knights before. Don't you remember I killed Azull and Deanixous during the war?" The master asks.

Mario is silent as he looks around the room. "...I've got a bad feeling...Xildus, is there another way out of this cell?"

Xildus is silent before he points to another corner of the cell.

Mario raises an eyebrow, but as he focuses on that corner with his shadow sight, he notices an interesting green aura to the area. On a hunch, he attempts to open a dark portal there. Surprisingly, he instead finds it to be a green time portal. "Well, that's convienent." He gets up, stepping toward the portal and going through.

Xildus is silent, looking back toward where he saw the apparition before stepping in as well, the portal closing behind them.

They soon emerge from another green portal, but nothing seems to have changed aside from the fact that the cell door was open. "Huh..." Mario states before he walks out. Xildus stays behind him as they reach a hiding spot, and from there, they hear something. Mario looks back from the shadows, and he sees their past selves put into the cell. So they had only gone back in time perhaps ten minutes. Interesting.

"Get in." The man says.

So dejavu....

Mario looks to Xildus and nods, and while the Fallen Angel is busy getting their past selves into the cell, they sneak away, hopefully to a place where they can open a portal.

The entire castle is basicly empty, all the members must be either in the circle room or guarding the entrance.

Mario is silent before he nods to Xildus.

Xildus nods in turn, and in the middle of an empty, deserted corridor, he attempts to open a dark portal.

The portal appears. Maybe they should hurry just incase.

Mario nods, and he rushes into the portal. Xildus is right behind him, and the portal closes after they are both inside.
